Algebra 1

Algebra 1

Algebra is my most-tutored subject. I have worked in schools and with private clients from 7th-12th grade in Algebra 1. I am passionate about teaching the critical foundations for higher math!
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

I tutor 3rd- through 8th-grade math students in schools and in private sessions. I love teaching foundational math skills that prepare students for Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and beyond. When given individual tutoring attention, students understand the "why" behind the rules and can have fun with math!
English

English

In my undergraduate career, I focused deeply on literature and writing. I completed a senior capstone writing project that analyzed American Southwestern literature and synthesized philosophies of wilderness with personal experiences. I also received a grant from the Maine Space Grant Consortium to write a poetry chapbook about cosmology and astrophysics. I love helping students analyze works and command language effectively!
Literature

Literature

I focused deeply on writing and literature in my undergraduate career. I completed a senior capstone project that blended analytical and creative writing in an analysis of Southwestern literature. I also received a grant from the Main Space Grant Consortium to write a poetry chapbook about cosmology and astrophysics. I love helping students gain a deeper understanding of the function and power of literature!
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

I tutor Pre-Algebra students in schools and in private sessions. This subject is a critical transition from foundational arithmetic skills to algebraic and more abstract mathematical thinking. It is critical that students understand pre-algebra concepts, and I love helping them reach that understanding!
Proofreading

Proofreading

I focused deeply on writing in college and consequently became an excellent proofreader. I have undertaken multiple large writing projects for which I was my own final proofreader. I have frequently been asked by peers and professors to edit and proofread their works. Ensuring a work is flawless before submission or publication is absolutely essential to its success.
Writing
