Among my qualifications, I have been a Registered Nurse for 39 years, bedside in multiple critical care areas for 15 years, management/administration for 24 years. I have consulted in all aspects of hospital care, management and administration. I have been a popular speaker for the national healthcare circuit on multiple topics in nursing. In addition, whether for patients/families or other nurses, I have been an educator for my entire nursing career.

My greatest motivation in tutoring nurses is to ensure that the next generation of nurses is prepared for massive change in the industry. Clearly Obamacare has brought some change, mostly got the betterment of the industry, but in the near future I believe we will see rapid change implemented to further improve healthcare through technology as well as clinical breakthroughs in chronic conditions.

I have a long history of successfully mentoring many new nurses so that they are comfortable in their new role and begin their careers on a strong clinical foundation. The direction of my mentoring has also been around exploring with my students which of the multitude of healthcare settings fit their natural aptitudes closely in order to ensure a smooth transition into "the real world".

As an executive in a healthcare career for nearly 40 years, I've honed my communication skills to become succinct, professional and clear. Effective teaching is all about using well-developed communication skills such that the other party receives the intended message in an accepting environment. I have a proven track record of consistently using such communication skills not only in business but also in mentoring many other professionals.
