I was greatly blessed to live in Mexico for two years as a missionary and have a great love for the people, their culture, and their language. So much so, that I've been serving as a Spanish medical interpreter for the past 30 years!

I was greatly blessed to live in Mexico for two years as a missionary and have a great love for the people, their culture, and their language. So much so, that I've been serving as a Spanish medical interpreter for the past 30 years!

I graduated eons ago, in 1973, from the University of Washington, with a BA in Spanish and Business.

I later graduated, almost eons ago, in 1994 from City University of Seattle with an MBA in Managerial Leadership and Total Quality Management. I then was privileged to teach, as an adjunct professor, at City U for 12 years. My students were primarily adults who were coming back to school after work for a degree, so they could advance their careers. I taught a wide variety of subjects--College Algebra Statistics, Accounting, Spanish,, Critical Thinking, Business Writing and even Oceanography (and more). My most rewarding times there were when I saw the "lightbulbs" come on as students began to "get it" and realize their potential.

Since then, I've tutored high school and college students in Spanish, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Pre-Calculus. Beyond simply tutoring, I was blessed to be a facilitator of change and realizing potential.

Being a General Ledger accountant required that I have a broad overview of all phases of financial accounting. Many of them were terrified at the mere thought of anything even resembling algebra. I helped them overcome their fear. Since living in Mexico for 2 years, I've been a certified Spanish interpreter and translator for 30 years. I taught and assisted in designing a class to teach teachers how to communicate more effectively with their Spanish-speaking students and their parents. I've also been privileged to tutor high school and college students in Spanish. I graduated with a BA degree in Spanish.

I'm a certified copywriter, currently ghost-writing two books. For over 12 years, I taught college students business writing and communication. The written word is still incredibly powerful and persuasive.

Fantastic Spanish Tutor

I have had the pleasure of having Dom be my Spanish tutor for nearly a year now and I'm grateful for all that he has taught me so far. He is patient and keeps the lessons lively and fun. Also, I appreciate his focus on appropriate enunciation. It is so key to start with good pronunciation habits. Back in my high school and college days, I took roughly 5 years of Spanish so had the Spanish basics down. That said, Don was able to pick up right where I was at in the learning process so no time was wasted. If you are looking a great Spanish tutor, I highly recommend linking up with Don.

Don helped me when I had no hope in passing my accounting class. He was very personable and so patient with teaching me the basics of the class in a short time.
