Hello! My name is Ksenya, and I am passionate about helping students gain confidence and enjoy learning. I am currently completing my Associate's Degree in Education and plan to continue my education by earning a bachelor's degree in English education. My goal is to become a lifelong educator who helps students develop strong reading, writing, and communication skills.
For the past several years, I have worked one-on-one with students ranging from preschool through high school as a private music instructor. Teaching piano, guitar, mandolin, and beginning music theory has given me extensive experience adapting lessons to each student's learning style and ability level. I believe every student learns differently, so I strive to create a positive, encouraging environment where mistakes are viewed as opportunities to grow. Whether a student needs extra practice, a different explanation, or simply someone who believes in them, I enjoy finding the approach that helps everything click.
In addition to music, I enjoy helping students improve their reading, writing, grammar, and study skills. My education coursework has strengthened my understanding of effective teaching methods, lesson planning, and student development, and I love making learning engaging rather than overwhelming. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students succeed academically but also to help them build confidence and become independent learners. I look forward to working with students of all ages and helping them reach their goals!
