Professional Motion Graphics Animator and Video Editor

I love creating things. I've been a professional motion graphics animator and video specialist for nearly a decade and I absolutely love what I do! I've tutored many friends and co-workers throughout the years as a hobby. I naturally have an interest in teaching people and it's very exciting to be able to watch a person grow in their skill. When I was in high school I had a digital media teacher who changed my life. I didn't think I had any talent or skill when it came to video production, design and animation, but this teacher saw my potential and gave me the confidence I needed to continue learning. If it wasn't for that high school teacher, I would not be where I am today. Sometimes you just need someone to believe in you in addition to teaching you the necessary skills.

I've heavily used Adobe Illustrator to create and modify artwork for animation inside of After Effects. I have a very particular set of expertise in relation to illustrating for animation, but I'm well versed in other aspects of Illustrator as I have done a fair bit of graphic design work inside Illustrator.

I'm mostly self-taught in the areas of animation, design, and video production. Early on in high school, I began looking up tutorials online to learn how to use a camera, how to animate inside of Adobe After Effects, how to edit in Adobe Premiere, etc. That spiraled into doing freelance work for real-life clients where I learned more than I could have ever hoped. I secured my first full-time job in video production and animation while I was still in college and gained even more knowledge and experience. While I went to college for digital media and video production, most of my skills came from self-learning and experience from working with clients. Because of that, I'm a huge advocate of online learning and tutoring! I'm still learning and growing every day and will be until the day I retire!
