Bio

Most people were never taught how money actually works in real life.

Schools often skip practical topics like budgeting, debt, credit, mortgages, compound interest, and long-term financial decision-making. I enjoy helping students and adults understand these concepts in a way that’s practical, understandable, and hopefully a little more interesting than a textbook.

Earlier in my career, I worked in financial services and training, including helping educate new representatives at Fidelity Investments. I also previously held the CFP® designation. Over the years, I’ve found that people learn best when financial concepts are explained with real-world examples instead of confusing jargon.

I held the Series 6 license for over 15 years and trained new hires preparing for the exam. In that role, my trainees had an 85% first-time pass rate and a 95% pass rate including second attempts. I focus on helping students understand the major tested concepts clearly, especially mutual funds, variable products, suitability, and the types of questions that tend to cause confusion

I held my Series 63 and 65 for more than 10 years. I used to teach 63 prep at Fidelity as a corporate trainer. Pass rates of my students were over 85%. That was teaching brand new hires out of college. Many had no previous experience.

I used to be a trainer for new hires at Fidelity Investments for Series 7, 63, and 6. My first time pass rate was 85%. Including my second time testers, the total jumps to 95% pass rate in first or second attempts. My degree is in Consumer & Community Studies with emphasis in Financial Planning. I also taught investing and trading techniques for over 4 years as my full time occupation. I have had my licenses for over 15 years and I think it is a fabulous industry to be in.
