Hi. My name is Irina. I got my Bachelors degree in Russian language and literature from Udmurt State University, Russia. My professional career teaching Russian started in Utah. I worked with students who were very new to Russian language. They didn't know the alphabet and only new couple words in Russian. When I work with my students I see their potential. I was able to help them not only learn the basics of Russian grammar, but also they learned to express themselves in a new for them language; they mastered their listening, writing and reading skills.
I believe the best way to learn any language is speaking and applying all you know (grammar, culture etc) in an actual conversation. And that's the best way to challenge your brain and help it learn better and faster. The more you speak the better you understand grammar and pronunciation. In addition to speaking, listening and understanding plays a huge role in learning a language. During my lessons we speak and listen a lot. In addition to that we have writing and reading assignments to have all-rounded learning experience. I have been teaching Russian since 2011 and I have a special talent of kicking my students out of their comfort zones and helping them reach their potential.
