I am a former elementary school teacher who taught in rural schools in multi-grade situations for seven years. My minors were in History and Language Arts and I have a strong background in Elementary Mathematics. M.S. degree in Instructional Technology. I enjoy the success of helping students one-on-one. I taught elementary school for seven years in rural schools, including a K-12 classroom, where average student achievement on standardized criterion-referenced tests progressed from two years below grade level to grade level in two years (4 grade-level achievement). I enjoyed working one-on-one with students in reading, language arts, history and math. Students were expected to work hard and master each concept. Students not achieving 80% on an assessment for each objective were required to take remediation and be retested until they demonstrated mastery. Then they were required to re-demonstrate mastery of each objective at the end of the year.
