I started tutoring high school seniors in back in 2008 while completing my BA (Double Major) in French and English in my home country, Cameroon, preparing them for their national final exams GCE A level and Baccalauréat. I kept tutoring until I graduated with my Master's in Translation in 2014.
In 2017, I moved to the US to further my studies at the University of Mississippi, where I had to teach elementary and intermediate levels of French to college students while completing my Master's degree in French. I did the same at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, while I was enrolled in the PhD in French program, but after 2 years, I decided to change careers and started working for an NGO instead.
After a couple of years, I am back at tutoring professionally again as I have more time now and I've gained experience teaching French to young children age 1-8. As a teacher, my goal is to empower my students into becoming French users rather than just learners.
