I have a PhD in Clinical Psychology, as well as having completing a range of course work and research in social psychology and basic emotion research. I have a BS in Journalism and taught English as a second language full-time for two years. I have several awards for my writing, include best outstanding scientific paper at the University of Nevada, Reno in 2014. I have presented several writing workshops at national and international conferences.

I have taught ESL to individuals in junior high to adults. I also have worked with individuals with disabilities. More recently I have taught psychology and writing as a lecturer at the University of Nevada, Reno, as well as individually mentored college students in career development, writing, and psychology.

I have over 10 years of experience using SPSS doing statistical analyses. I actively do research and conduct statistical analyses as part of my position. I have also attended multiple advanced statistical training workshops and conferences.

I have several years of individually mentoring students in career development. I have also presented on career development at national and international conferences.
