The beauty of watching a student light up with joy after mastering a difficult task or concept, is immeasurable. I can't imagine another career being as rewarding as personal tutoriing.

I currently hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Services and have completed thirty-three Master's level credit hours toward a graduate degree in Psychology. My lessons are personalized to meet the needs of each student and are structured to guide the student toward a better understanding of the material. As a successful entrepreneur, I have over ten years of experience in business management. From planning and marketing to everyday operations, I have been there firsthand. In addition, my degree included significant coursework in management technique and application.

Elementary (K-6th)

I worked as a substitute teacher in grades K-12 for 4 years. During which time, I assisted students with lessons ranging from simple worksheets to complicated math and science concepts. My education, which includes 33 credit hours of graduate study, has more than prepared me for the material with which elementary students may need assistance. Also, I have successfully passed your qualification requirements for elementary math, elementary science, general reading, and writing.

Photography

As the co-owner of a professional portrait studio, I gained extensive knowledge of the technical, artistic, and business aspects of photography. I have a portfolio of photographic images available for review, upon request.
Psychology

Psychology

The study of human behavior has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I have completed thirty-three Master's level courses toward a graduate degree in Psychology. Currently, I work as a mental health professional with children who have survived abuse, neglect, exploitation and human trafficking. As a professional TBRI Practitioner I have gained extensive knowledge regarding the impact of complex developmental trauma and acquired the skills to work with children who have survived such devastating experiences. My professional experience also includes using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Sensory Integration Therapy and Applied Behavioral Analysis.

Theater

I have three years of theatre experience including college, community and professional theatre work. During the 2002-03 academic year, I served as the Production Manager for the Kingwood College Theater program. With over a dozen shows under my belt, I have served as cast member, stage crew, light design, sound tech, stage manager and director. I recently served as stage manager for a professional production in the Houston area and have accepted an offer to work in Conroe as Stage Manager for an upcoming production.

Excellent Tutor

I would recommend Lisa to anyone that needed a patient, understanding and knowledgeable tutor. She really worked very well with my 17 yr old son and went out of her way to make sure he understood the lessons. We absolutely will use her again.

Patient, doesn't move or speak too fast, has calming presence

I am very pleased with Lisa. She gets right down to business. She is thorough but yet is able to connect with my daughter. I highly recommend her.

Professional

Only had one lesson to date but Lisa is very professional and came to our home ready to teach/tutor. Our son seemed to respond well to her. At this point I would recommend.
