I tutor both English and ESL students and Arabic language students.
I am Best Plus certified and enjoy aiding others with English, ESL and ESOL.
I have taught ESL to young kids thus improving their scores from failing to earning impressive remarks from their teachers. Even bad students can be taught to fall in love with the dictionary!
I have also instructed juvenile center inmates in GED subjects.
I have studied Arabic in Spain, Morocco, Syria and Jordan and I am ready to share my jewels!
Arabic study in the US is growing rapidly. On account of Arabic proficiency many people have received entrance/scholarships to Oxford, Yale, Harvard, Dartmouth and Princeton. This includes Post Graduate study as well
I translated aspects of a speech to be presented to Former US President George W. Bush at a Ground Zero assembly.
In addition I have experience with:
- Traditional methods of repetition drills which work well with Arabic
- Teaching young children as well which I find especially rewarding
- Instructing small groups, large groups and one-to-one training
- translating financial documents at the UN
- Classical Arabic
- Teaching Arabic in regards to age, capacity and purpose
- Translating lectures in interfaith for large diversified audiences.
- Translating audio to Arabic text, Arabic-English transliteration, and English translation
I passed the Arabic proficiency test or the Drug Enforcement Agency
I have generic training skills with three certifications from Lexis Nexis.
My lessons focus on increasing the student's pronunciation, writing, eloquence and comprehension. I have hours of Arabic lectures, poetry and lots of reading material for an eager student to feast on as a good language student will throw her/himself into the language. I also am a tech so I am able to splice Audio and create my own material for audio drilling purposes.
We an also engage in Arabic conversation which is one of the best ways to internalize and master a foreign language. I tutor both English and ESL students and Arabic language students.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
