I help students feel more confident, prepared, and capable, especially when they are facing challenging coursework, major projects, presentations, theses, dissertations, or defense preparation.
My academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in Business from Iowa State University, a master’s degree in Management and Leadership with a minor in Psychology from Tarleton State University, and a PhD in I/O Psychology from Grand Canyon University. I am also a Certified Professional Life Coach with additional certifications in positive psychology and transformational psychology.
I have over five years of experience teaching college and dual credit psychology, along with six additional years of private tutoring experience. I have taught students ranging from high school age to older adults in traditional classrooms, online courses, large lecture halls, and one-on-one settings. I also bring a strong record of student connection and support, including a perfect Rate My Professor rating.
As a tutor and coach, my goal is not just to help students “get through” the material, but to help it actually click. I specialize in breaking down complex concepts into clear, understandable pieces and offering practical tips, memory strategies, and real-world examples that make learning feel less overwhelming. Whether you need help with psychology, statistics, SPSS, writing, presentations, dissertation preparation, or confidence-building, I adapt my teaching style to fit the way you learn best.
Students often come to me feeling stressed, stuck, or unsure of where to begin. My job is to help you organize the chaos, understand the material, and walk away feeling more prepared than when we started. I believe learning should feel empowering, not intimidating, and I would love to help you reach your next academic or professional goal.
