I am a Senior Honors Student at Baylor University pursuing a triple major in Baylor Business Fellows, Biology, and Economics on the Pre-Medical Track. I scored a 98th percentile score on the MCAT and have been accepted to medical school. As a student at Baylor, I have benefited tremendously from peer mentorship, and I enjoy tutoring as a means to give back and help serve those students who share the same passion for science and medicine as I do. Education is a series of mentors sharing what they have learned with their students--a two-way exchange of experience for exuberance--and I believe that 1-on-1 peer tutoring is one of the most powerful tools in learning because it allows the tutor and student to from a relationship that serves as the foundation for further engagement with material and helps to foster a passion for learning. I use this approach to directly tailor my material and questions to the student themselves, working to tether instruction to their unique passions and interests to make more memorable.

At Baylor, I have achieved A's in science courses including Biology 1 and 2, Chemistry 1 and 2, Physics 1 and 2, Organic Chemistry 1 and 2, Biochemistry, Human Physiology, Advanced Physiology, Microbiology, Genetics, Topics in Evolution, Anatomy, Pathophysiology, and Genomics. I am involved in Neurobiology research studying changes in innervation of the cochlea which has augmented my scientific background, allowing me to speak to science in both an education and applicational aspect. Outside of science, I have also taken many classics, business, and economics courses that afford a multidisciplinary approach to tutoring to augment material retention.

Ian is such a fantastic tutor.

Not only does he make sure to be available at any time you need, but he can make any form of learning work. Whether you need a quick video, a full session, or just one problem- he can help. His knowledge of any STEM related class is endless, and he truly does care about you doing well. As a pre-med student myself, I would recommend him to anyone who needs help with any of the required classes, or even for general pre-medicine advice.

Patient Relatable and Makes Content Engaging

He relates to the student and speaks to them in a way that actually resonates with them, making conceots the student finds uninteresting or hard more easily understandable.
