I am a Senior Honors Student at Baylor University pursuing a triple major in Baylor Business Fellows, Biology, and Economics on the Pre-Medical Track. I scored a 98th percentile score on the MCAT and am currently applying to Medical School. As a pre-medical student at Baylor, I have benefited tremendously from peer mentorship, and I enjoy tutoring as a means to give back and help serve those students who share the same passion for science and medicine as I do. Education is a series of mentors sharing what they have learned with their students--a two-way exchange of experience for exuberance--and I believe that 1-on-1 peer tutoring is one of the most powerful tools in learning because it allows the tutor and student to from a relationship that serves as the foundation for further engagement with material and helps to foster a passion for learning. I use this approach to directly tailor my material and questions to the student themselves, working to tether instruction to their unique passions and interests to make more memorable.
At Baylor, I have achieved A's in science courses including Biology 1 and 2, Chemistry 1 and 2, Physics 1 and 2, Organic Chemistry 1 and 2, Biochemistry, Human Physiology, Advanced Physiology, Microbiology, Genetics, and Genomics. I am involved in Neurobiology research studying changes in innervation of the cochlea which has augmented my scientific background, allowing me to speak to science in both an education and applicational aspect. Outside of science, I have also taken many classics, business, and economics courses that afford a multidisciplinary approach to tutoring to augment material retention.
