I will be graduating from Baylor University this May with a B.S. as a Science Research Fellow and part of the Honors Program. This upcoming fall, I will be continuing my education at the McGovern Medical School in pursuit of an M.D. degree.
For the past three years, I have served as a Supplemental Instructor (SI) at Baylor University, specializing in General Chemistry. In this role, I have had the privilege of guiding and instructing over 650 undergraduate students, helping them grasp challenging concepts, prepare for exams, and excel in their coursework. I developed a dynamic curriculum comprising worksheets, interactive discussions, comprehensive exam reviews, and engaging group activities, all tailored to enhance comprehension and retention of course material. My coverage as an instructor extends to other disciplines that I have also been successful in during my time at Baylor, including physics, biology, biochemistry, genetics, human physiology, pathophysiology, psychology, neuroscience, and English.
I have also provided personalized one-on-one tutoring sessions, tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs and learning styles of individual students. Whether it's reinforcing fundamental principles or delving into advanced topics, I am committed to empowering students to reach their full potential.
In addition to teaching, I firmly believe in the power of mentorship to guide students toward success in their chosen fields of study. Whether through my roles in organizational leadership, as a teaching assistant, or as an SI, I have actively mentored numerous students for success as pre-medical students.
I am eager to continue making a meaningful impact on the academic success and personal growth of future students. As an instructor with years of experience, I am well-equipped and committed to helping students overcome obstacles, unlock their potential, and achieve their academic goals.
