I am a Junior at Baylor University studying Biology, Biochemistry, and Medical Humanities. I am a University Scholars major which is a unique program within the Honors college reserved for the top 5% of students. I have taken a variety of courses at Baylor in the Natural and Social Sciences and have been blessed to do exceptionally well in those classes.
I love helping others and I especially love helping others learn. In high school, I scored in the 99th percentile on the ACT and tutored peers privately. After a brief hiatus, I resumed tutoring/instructing in college. I became a Supplemental Instructor for BIO 2306 Genetics last year and led twice-weekly sessions for roughly 100 students. This year, I occupy the same role but for BIO 3342 Molecular Cell Biology. As a Supplemental Instructor, I have the opportunity to teach in large lecture halls but also work individually with students during my office hours.
