I graduated from Freed-Hardeman University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science in Education and from Grand Canyon University in 2011 with a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction: Technology. In 1996 I completed two graduate level reading courses from Georgia Southern University. I am also glad to state that on January 10, 2015 I added to my Texas certificate the 154 ESL/ Supplemental certification. Previously, I taught for the Clayton County Public School System in Georgia, and I had the pleasure to influence the lives of many kindergarteners, second graders, fifth graders and seventh graders. This past school year, I taught second graders at the Sabinal Elementary School located in Sabinal, Texas, and I have a letter of recommendation from Mr. Joe Marks.
I am confident that I can offer outstanding reading comprehension building lessons, exceptional phonic lessons, mathematical lessons, and technology integrated lessons. I can also offer professionalism and team building encouragement.
I had the opportunity to work in Japan as an ESL teacher. I have twenty-five years of teaching reading, vocabulary, and writing classes.
