Like many, I went off to college as soon as I graduated high school but my life had some changes in store for me. My initial college career was at Howard Payne University, where I majored in Journalism. After 4 years I had some hard choices to make - do I return to a school or do I make some drastic changes. For one, as much as I love writing, I just could not see myself in the world of mass communication. So, I joined the US Army.
I was active duty for over 3 years, stationed in South Carolina and Georgia for training and then off to Germany. After leaving the service, my work led me to business, specifically supply chain management. I've worked as a requisitioner, a document specialist for a defense contractor in their pack/ship department, an MRP controller, inventory management, and as a buyer. I have worked in supply chain roles or had supply chain responsibilities since 1999.
When I decided to return to school and complete my degree, I chose to study business rather than journalism. I was consistently on the Deans List each semester, as well as being a member of Golden Key International Honour Society, Alpha Sigma Lambda, SALUTE Veterans National Honor Society, and Sigma Beta Delta. My major and minor for my BA degree is supply chain management and logistics management. My Masters degree is a Masters of Arts in Organizational Management with a specialization in supply chain management.

I draw from my love of the English language and have a great understanding of editing and proofreading. I also have familiarity with APA as a means of citing in academic papers.
I have worked in the business world in supporting roles since leaving the military in 1991. I have worked for Fortune 500 companies and non-profit organizati
