I’m Michael, and I have a PhD in Chemistry with a concentration in Chemical Physics. I have more than 20 years of tutoring experience and more than 15 years of classroom teaching experience. Over the years, I have worked with students from elementary school through college in public school, private school, and homeschool settings. My experience includes one-on-one tutoring, small-group support, and classroom teaching, which has given me a strong understanding of how differently students learn and what kinds of support help them succeed.
My strongest areas are chemistry, physics, physical science, and math-related problem solving. I have taught and tutored students in chemistry, physics, statistics, developmental math, and college mathematics, and I enjoy helping students at many different levels, whether they need enrichment, regular homework support, or help rebuilding missing foundations. I especially work well with students who feel overwhelmed, behind, or unsure of themselves.
My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and step by step. I try to identify where the confusion begins, explain difficult ideas in a clear and manageable way, and help students build real understanding rather than just memorize procedures. I want students to leave each session with greater confidence, stronger skills, and a better sense of what to do next. If you are looking for a tutor who can provide clear explanations, encouragement, and practical help in science or math, I would be glad to work with you.
