My name is Nary. I have a Ph.D. in Computer Science and several degrees in engineering. I am approved to teach online to school children in several states. I love teaching and mentoring - I have been doing both for the past twenty years. I am a teacher in the local college where I teach courses in Computer Science. I have been an online tutor for the past two years during which I taught over 1000 sessions to students in elementary, middle, high school, and college. I also taught adult learners on emerging topics such as ChatGPT and advance programming. My teaching approach is personalized and interactive - I try to reinforce concepts using examples and asking questions. Of course, I encourage my students to ask questions as well.
I prefer to teach one-on-one though I have also conducted classes with groups of students of up to twenty. I prefer to teach one hour at a time to a student or a group - if need be multiple sessions of one hour each may be held each week. I typically start with the student's homework questions, if any, and after solving them, I give more problems of similar type so that the student gets a comfortable grasp of the material discussed in class. Of course, I am also open to teaching just one session to students who have difficulty solving their class problems - such sessions may or may not recur. I focus on the student's knowledge level and understanding and make sure I use terms and vocabulary taught in class.
