My love of learning has gone back nearly 15 years when I started reading books on philosophy, science, and history. I would read anything from Plato to Alexis de Tocqueville, and about things like the Greek Pantheon and WW2. I became obsessed with the origin of things, I studied the beginnings of calculus and algebra and became proficient in both by age 14. In high school, I started the International Baccalaureate program, which taught me different ways of learning, studying, and retaining knowledge. I went to Texas Tech University as part of the esteemed Honors College in 2010, but dropped the Honors program in order to pursue my love of ancient peoples. I graduated with a BA in Classics with a focus in Greek language in 2013. I, now, am a certified teacher in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.

Throughout my life, I have striven to understand many subjects, but I have also wanted to help children reach their potential. I have worked with many students in all grades with their homework or test prep. Many times, it is not that the student isn't trying or is unintelligent, but that they haven't figured out the best way of learning for their needs. I work first with finding what the best way for them to learn is, whether that be audio, visual, or a combination of both. I believe that it is important to figure out what a child finds appealing and unappealing about a subject to understand how to change their thinking in order to help them succeed.

I have tutored Elementary math for 3 years and focus on making the process fun, so that students work through problems without feeling pressured. Instead of feeling stressed, they don't realize that they have been doing homework, which leads them to understand how intelligent they truly are.

I took IB English where I studied poetry, composition, analysis, and Shakespeare. I was required to take an examination and scored 4 out of 7, which allowed me to receive college credit. I also studied primitive languages in college, which has given me a lot of experience in English gramma
