I'm a college freshman at the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Neuroscience! I've been teaching in various capacities for many years now, and I have experience working with a wide variety of kids, ranging from Kindergarteners to college students. I taught at a tutoring center for a year, where I worked with kids with various intellectual and developmental disabilities, such as Down syndrome and severe autism. I also used to independently teach piano lessons out of my home, where I came up with unique lesson plans based on each student's independent needs.
I strongly believe that every student is capable of growth, and I understand that everyone learns at different paces. I'm here to be a patient guide to stick with my students as they take the time they need to process information and truly learn how to learn. In high school, I graduated in the top 2% of my class, and I often tutored my friends and peers around me. This combined with my parenting my younger sister (younger by 9 years!) made me realize I love working with kids and helping them grow in a fun way. I prefer to tutor one-on-one or two-on-one so I can get to know my kids better.
