My my name is Rosa E., my goal as Spanish teacher is to make a lifetime difference in the lives of the students that I teach.
I have worked for five years as a Spanish Teacher at Phoenix Charter School in Greenville, TX. My experience includes teaching Spanish to students ranging from Pre-Kindergarten through ninth grade. While teaching Spanish to these students, I have put more than my knowledge into teaching them; I have put my whole heart into breaking down the language barriers between English and Spanish speaking students in my classroom.
The experience of teaching these students has been very rewarding. I have witnessed at the end of each school year students from different backgrounds, previously unable to communicate effectively with one another, who have established friendships with each other by communicating and sharing different experiences from different parts of the world and varying points of view.
I desire to continue tutoring in this area of education in order to help immigrants, Hispanics/Latinos and their children to preserve their language, their roots and culture.
Another reason is my aspiration of opening the doors of different worlds that go beyond the classroom and the border for English speaking students. I would introduce English speakers to a colorful world full of different musical rhythms and give them the opportunity to taste the culinary world of Spanish cuisine. One of my goals as a teacher would be, not only to bring the Spanish world to the classroom, but to assist my students in exploration of the Spanish world around them. I want to help them to experience what they learn in the classroom.
I believe interactive and engaging teaching will wake up the curiosity in all of my students and they will crave to learn more. My my name is Rosa E., my goal as Spanish teacher is to make a lifetime difference in the lives of the students that I teach.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
