My name is Rosa M, and as a Spanish teacher, my goal is to make a lifelong impact on the students I teach. Spanish is my first language, and I am passionate about sharing it.
I worked as a Spanish teacher in Texas for over six years, teaching students from Pre-Kindergarten through ninth grade. In addition to imparting my knowledge of the language, I have put my heart into breaking down the language barriers between English- and Spanish-speaking students in my classroom.
Teaching these students has been an incredibly rewarding experience. At the end of each school year, I witness students from different backgrounds, who previously struggled to communicate, build friendships by sharing experiences and perspectives from their diverse cultures.
I am committed to continuing my work in this area to help immigrants, especially Hispanic/Latino families and their children, preserve their language, roots, and culture. At the same time, I aspire to open the doors of new worlds for English-speaking students. Through my teaching, I want to introduce them to the vibrant world of Spanish culture, from its rich musical traditions to its diverse culinary heritage.
One of my goals is not only to bring the Spanish-speaking world into the classroom but to encourage my students to explore it in real life. I want them to experience firsthand what they learn, making their education truly immersive.
I believe that interactive and engaging teaching will spark curiosity in my students and inspire them to crave more knowledge.
