Holding two Masters degrees in English, I've had the privilege of teaching a variety of literature classes at the highest levels. I am qualified to help high school level students and above with their reading, ELA, and creative writing needs, as well to help them prepare for the Reading and Writing portions of the ACT and SAT. Beyond reading and writing, I am passionate about assisting learners to achieve their goals and inspiring them to view educational challenges as fun and rewarding with the right support. I have over 5 years of experience teaching and tutoring at the collegiate level, in classes for the core curriculum and writing centers, including seminars of my own design. I believe that it is crucial to assess every student on their own merits, personalities, learning styles, and goals in order to develop a structured plan to help them succeed. In an increasingly digital and AI-driven world, it remains essential to be able to write and communicate effectively and to translate our knowledge into words. Expanding vocabulary, sharpening syntax, and improving grammatical acumen are still incalculably valuable skills to hone for any student, no matter their age. And that's where I can come in to help!

I hold two Masters in Literature, and I run two creative writing groups currently at the Temple Public Library. I have over 5 years experience teaching reading and writing at the university level.
German

German

I have been speaking German for almost 20 years. I double majored in English and German Studies at Bucknell University where I not only graduated summa cum laude, but I also became the first non-native German speaker to be hired as a Teaching Assistant for German 101/102. After graduating with my BA, I was selected for a post-baccalaureate exchange with the University of Heidelberg, and I lived, studied, and worked in Germany for a year thanks to that opportunity.

She has published a co-authored essay in the journal Atlantic Studies, contributed blog posts on Special Collections research at UPenn's Kislak Center, and dabbled in the world of podcast editing and sound engineering. Fluent in German and proficient in French, she welcomes the opportunity to engage with multilingual content in all forms.
