I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Chemistry from Austin College, and I am currently pursuing my MBA in Marketing at the University of North Texas. My academic journey has given me a strong foundation in writing, research, and analytical thinking, which I bring into every tutoring session. Additionally, I am pursuing a certificate in Modern Journalism and Screenwriting through NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, further strengthening my expertise in written communication across genres and formats.

I have over two years of tutoring experience through my work as a Peer Writing Assistant at the Scarbrough Center for Writing. In this role, I supported students from a wide range of disciplines, including ESL learners, helping them refine their essays, research papers, and creative projects. My approach to tutoring is collaborative and supportive—I aim to build students’ confidence by guiding them through brainstorming, drafting, revising, and editing. I’ve worked with both high school and college students in one-on-one and small group settings, tailoring my support based on each student’s learning style and goals.

Beyond tutoring, my work as an editor for literary magazines and as a professional book reviewer with Kirkus Reviews has sharpened my eye for grammar, structure, and clarity. I bring that same attention to detail to tutoring sessions, helping students not only correct mistakes but also understand the reasoning behind effective writing. My goal is to empower students to become stronger, more independent writers.
