I'm Eric, and I earned my Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Harvard University in 2022, where I developed a deep understanding of how personal narratives shape identity and opportunity. My own college application journey was transformative—I was fortunate to receive acceptances from Yale, Princeton, and Stanford, among other top institutions. This experience taught me that successful applications aren't about perfection but authenticity, strategic storytelling, and finding your unique voice.
For the past five years, I've worked one-on-one with 50+ high school students, primarily online, to help them craft compelling admissions essays that reveal who they truly are. My approach centers on deep listening and collaborative brainstorming. I work with students to uncover the stories that matter most to them, then help them structure those narratives in ways that are both authentic and strategically effective. I've guided students through personal statements and supplemental essays for successful admissions to Harvard, Yale, USC and other competitive universities. Rather than imposing a formula, I help each student find their own voice and develop essays that admissions officers remember long after reading.
Since graduating, I've worked in impact investment banking, U.S. government trade and investment, and foreign policy, where I've honed my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively—skills I bring directly into my tutoring. I understand how to craft narratives that resonate with diverse audiences and how to distill meaningful experiences into compelling prose. My background in writing for professional contexts, including being published in The New York Times, informs my editorial approach. I'm passionate about mentorship and helping students see their own potential, and I'm excited to work with motivated students who want to tell their stories powerfully and authentically.
