I am a high-achieving senior at Clements High School in Sugar Land, Texas, where I rank in the top 3% of my class. I have a strong academic preparation in mathematics and reading, demonstrated by a 1550 SAT score, including a 790 in SAT Math and a 760 in Reading and Writing. I have earned a 5 on multiple AP exams, including Chemistry, Computer Science A, English Language and Composition, Precalculus, World History, etc., and have taken several other rigorous courses that required advanced problem-solving, analytical reading, and clear written communication.
I have direct tutoring and teaching experience with middle/high school students in both one-on-one and small group settings. Through Schoolhouse, a College Board–affiliated program, I served as an SAT Reading and Writing tutor, where I taught a four-week course focused on critical reading strategies, grammar, and test-taking techniques. In this role, I worked closely with students to break down complex passages, identify question patterns, and build confidence, resulting in an average score increase of approximately 90 points per student in the Reading and Writing sections. I also tutor all levels of math up to AP Calculus AB, which includes Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, and Calculus.
My tutoring approach emphasizes patience, clarity, and confidence-building. I focus on explaining concepts step by step, helping students understand not only how to solve problems or memorize formulas, but why the solution works. In math, I prioritize conceptual understanding and problem-solving strategies commonly tested on the SAT, as well as how to take full advantage of the provided Desmos calculator. In reading and writing, I teach students how to approach passages strategically, manage time, and recognize recurring question types. Having recently completed the SAT myself, I understand the challenges students face and am able to provide practical, relatable guidance that helps them improve both their skills and their scores.
