I have a strong academic and professional background in Computer Science and writing, supported by formal education, university-level teaching, and long-term professional experience. I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Computer Science. Until recently, I worked in senior program and project management roles at large global organizations, including Apple, Infosys, and Daikin, where I was responsible for leading complex technical initiatives and working closely with engineering teams. This experience allows me to teach technical subjects with real-world context and clarity, not just theory.

My teaching experience spans multiple colleges, where I taught Computer Science courses to undergraduate students in classroom settings. In addition to formal teaching, I have extensive one-on-one and small-group instructional experience through mentoring, tutoring, and guided academic support. Alongside my technical background, I am a published author of literary fiction and have led several long-running critique groups under the Houston Writers Guild, where I worked closely with writers at different stages to develop analytical thinking, clarity of expression, and disciplined revision habits. I also serve as the creative director of a theater organization, where I mentor performers and writers on storytelling, performance, and interpretation.

My tutoring approach is structured, patient, and diagnostic. I focus on understanding how each student thinks and identifying exactly where confusion begins. In Computer Science, I emphasize logic, problem decomposition, and transferable reasoning skills rather than rote memorization. In writing, I help students organize their ideas clearly, strengthen arguments, and communicate with confidence while meeting academic expectations. Parents and students appreciate that I balance rigor with encouragement, creating a supportive environment where learners feel respected, capable, and steadily more independent.

Knowledgeable, Patient, and Versatile!! Highly Recommend!!

Mr. Muhammad T is a very knowledgeable, patient, and versatile tutor. I have currently had a few lessons on graduate-level Data Structures and Algorithms, and I do not come from a CS background. He can explain the theories with multiple examples in a way that I would understand, and he is very engaged during our session. I present him with many different forms of learning materials, and he can answer all of my questions. My favorite part, which helps me the most, is when he asks me to recite what he teaches back to him so that he can see if I am truly retaining the material, as this class is very difficult to understand without the foundational understanding. He is very experienced in the field and has verified credibility. Mr. Muhammad T. has flexible hours and tries his best even outside the tutoring space to get ahead with the materials, and he has his own way of teaching, which has been very helpful to me. He is very quick to respond and establishes a comfortable environment to learn the topics. I was about 3 weeks behind on my topics, but I am very much satisfied with the progress I have made thus far, and catching up very quickly.
