I am Dr. Urmilla K., an enthusiastic physician and educator with a strong foundation in both clinical medicine and teaching. I completed my M.B.B.S. from Sindh Medical College, graduating 3rd in my university, and later earned my M.D. degree through ECFMG in the United States. I also hold a Surgical Assistant certification from the USA. Over the years, I have worked as a physician, contributed to research projects, and gained hands-on experience in hospital laboratories including hematology, pathology, and microbiology.
My passion for anatomy, physiology, and microbiology began early in my academic journey, when I frequently demonstrated concepts to my classmates. I remain deeply grateful to the teachers who shaped my understanding, and I am committed to passing that same knowledge forward to my students with clarity, empathy, and enthusiasm.
For the past two years, I have been teaching at Tutor.com/Princeton, where I work with high school, college, and elementary students. I teach Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Elementary Science, and English, guiding learners every day through complex concepts in a way that feels approachable and empowering. My students consistently express satisfaction and gratitude, which motivates me to continue refining my teaching craft.
My teaching philosophy centers on helping students discover answers on their own through illustrations, formulas, examples, and interactive discussion. I focus on strengthening conceptual understanding, building confidence, and offering memorization strategies that make learning enjoyable and effective. Watching students grow, succeed, and reach their full potential is the most rewarding part of my work.
I am approachable, responsive, and always open to feedback. Students receive reminders before sessions, and I encourage them to reach out anytime with questions or scheduling needs. Teaching is not just my profession—it is my passion and purpose.
