I was born in Taiwan and moved to Houston when I was in the 11th grade. I am proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in both simplified Chinese characters and traditional Chinese characters. I have spent over five years studying Chinese culture and language as an undergraduate and graduate student.
I first earned a bachelor’s degree in Chinese Studies. Then, I completed a Master’s degree in World Cultures & Literature, specializing in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language.

Anna was extremely patient in her teaching of me as I am not the fastest learner when it comes to learning a new language. She was prepared and had what she wanted to go over in our first time laid out for me. She started with the very basics vowels and constantans She is a very nice and personable person to deal with and I look forward to more sessions with her.
