I started learning Japanese at age 19 back in 1987 by living in Japan, returned to the States in 1989, worked as a tour guide for Japanese tourists, went to BYU and graduated in Japanese in 1993, moved to Japan to begin my career as an interpreter and translator at Daifuku, returned to the States in 2006, worked for Honda R&D in Ohio for 14 years and now working for Daikin in Texas.

I have done some tutoring before while living in Japan. It was mostly tutoring children in English, which was very enjoyable and the children seemed to love it too. Looking to get back into teaching and possibly coaching (wrestling, another passion of mine, as my wrestling coach was a strong influence on me).

Anyhow, probably not many students nearby where I live, but it is the Internet age, so perhaps that would work better for some.

I have great respect and love for the Japanese culture and the language, and have been using the Japanese language in my daily life for over 30 years now.
