During graduate school I was a teaching assistant and taught several labs and introductory courses of geology to both major and non-major students.
While working for my previous company, I was the main mentor for new hires for our department as well as being in charge of generating the processes and procedures for maintaining our database and our daily activities.
I have 8 years experience working for oil and gas companies. 1 year working off shore in the Gulf of Mexico, while in Louisiana. 7 years working for the same company here in Houston. The first 2 years were a training/rotational period, where I transferred to different groups within the company. The last 5 years were spent as a development Geologist in charge of planning various natural gas wells within unconventional shale play.
I enjoy helping others learn to love geology. I'm pretty easy-going and usually flexible for meeting times.
