I was born in Mexico City and received my Bachelor's degree from a University in Mexico. I have been living in Texas for about eighteen years, working as an educator. Learning English as a second language allowed me to understand the language and the strategies I now use to teach Spanish. I like to work with small groups and make learning Spanish fun, easy and relevant for students. As a native Spanish speaker, I can help with this language acquisition at any level. As an educator, I keep myself updated about the best teaching practices; I am enrolled in a Doctoral Program in Bilingual Education, which gives me various research methods in instruction.
