Hello! I'm Calla, and I am a certified elementary teacher with specialization in areas of reading and writing.
I absolutely love teaching and helping others learn and grow their skills! From working with young children and helping build those first foundation blocks, to older students and assisting them with essays or difficult assignments, to guiding college students and future educators - it really is such a passion of mine. I aim to provide assistance and lessons that are engaging and tailored to the needs of whomever I am working with at the time.

A bit about my experience and certifications - I graduated from Texas Tech University with my bachelor's in Elementary Education. I am certified in Texas for early childhood through 6th grade. Additionally, I have trained in Science of Reading, ESL, and Gifted and Talented. I have worked extensively with students with dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning needs. I have taught kindergarten, 1st grade, 3rd grade, and 4th grade.
Outside of the classroom, I have tutored pretty much every age PreK through College students. I have helped students learn how to read and write. I have helped high school and college students with essays and coursework. I have mentored several college students who were working on their degree in education.
Additionally, I taught during COVID which I feel gives me a unique perspective on how to teach and tutor virtually!
