Hi, I'm Mariana — Biology, Anatomy & English Tutor
I bring something most tutors can't: real medical school training. I completed two years of pre-clinical studies at Tecnológico de Monterrey, one of Latin America's most rigorous medical programs, where I built a deep foundation in human biology, anatomy, physiology, and medical sciences. I've applied that knowledge hands-on through volunteer work in medical brigades, and I've tutored students in biology and human sciences in both English and Spanish.
Back in the US, I'm maintaining a 4.0 GPA at Lone Star College and transferring to the University of Houston in August, so I know exactly what academic rigor looks like from both sides of the desk.
For English and Literature, it goes beyond academics; it's a genuine passion. I'm the Founder and President of the Book Club at Lone Star College, and some of my essays have been submitted for publication in the LSC student literary journal. I love helping students find their voice whether that's navigating a summer reading assignment, or finally understanding a novel they'd rather not read.
I can help you with:
Human Biology and Anatomy & Physiology
AP Biology
General Biology
English Composition and Essay Writing
Literature Analysis
Science coursework in Spanish
I tutor in person and online so sessions fit your schedule no matter where you are. I'm bilingual in English and Spanish and comfortable explaining complex material in either language.
Whether you're a high schooler preparing for AP exams, a college student struggling through anatomy, or a parent looking for someone who genuinely knows the material — I'd love to work with you.
