I am a certified educator with over 10 years of classroom teaching experience in Texas. Throughout my career, I have primarily taught Algebra 1 for seven years and have extensive experience preparing students for the Algebra 1 STAAR exam. I have also taught Pre-Algebra, third grade, and spent a year working in special education, which strengthened my ability to differentiate instruction and support students with a wide range of learning needs.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Oklahoma and later completed my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership at Lamar University. During my time in education, I taught and coached at Southlake ISD, Highland Park ISD, and Lovejoy ISD. I also served as the Head Volleyball Coach at Lovejoy High School until relocating to the greater Houston area in 2025.
My goal as a tutor is to meet students where they are. I enjoy helping students who struggle with math slow down and truly understand the concepts, while also challenging advanced learners to push themselves further. I believe confidence and clarity are key to success in math, and I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and growing their skills.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy spending time with my young son and preparing to welcome another child soon.
