My goal is to build a strong high school baseline with Pre-algebra and Algebra 1. A strong Algebra 1 skill set will get a you through all of high school math, it is the foundation. I will guide the you on how to be successful in algebra 1, and pass the STAAR/EOC Texas state test. Pre-Algebra and Algebra tutoring will be geared toward 12-15 year old students. This is a very important transition to getting a good start to High School. High School can very intimidating and my goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible to began asking questions in class. Confidence is helpful in school and in life.
Please have some understanding of the Algebra 1 vocabulary. Yes, we will go over and interpret definitions as needed. You will get more out of your tutoring session. Several websites have games to learn Algebra 1 definitions. Ask your teacher which vocab words are important for the current or past sections. Working with your guardians/parents/teachers is very important to get the best out of the tutoring session. We will all be a team to help you be successful in math. I am very patient and will pace the lesson based on the your skills. My tutoring will help relieve stress and build math confidence.
