I am a first-year medical student at the University of Michigan and graduated with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. I independently studied for the MCAT and earned a score of 521. Preparing for the exam required me to develop a disciplined, efficient, and adaptable approach to mastering a broad range of content. I focused heavily on spaced repetition, active recall, and diagnostic self-assessment, building a system of flashcards, annotated content reviews, and strategic practice testing that helped me identify and strengthen weak areas. I now enjoy helping students personalize their prep using those same techniques—while avoiding common pitfalls I learned from firsthand.

My teaching experience spans multiple age groups, subjects, and formats. At UT Austin, I served as a Biochemical Engineering tutor, where I met weekly with students in both one-on-one and small group settings to explain lecture topics, clarify problem sets, and guide them through practice problems. I also provided detailed written feedback on quizzes and homework to help students adjust their approach and build conceptual understanding. Prior to that, I worked at an academic enrichment center, where I taught small after-school math classes for students in grades K–3. These sessions emphasized student engagement through games, visual models, and interactive exercises. In parallel, I coached high school students for the National Chemistry Olympiad, teaching advanced topics like organic chemistry and thermodynamics through mini-lectures, Socratic questioning, and walkthroughs of past exams.

These experiences taught me how to adapt my methods to each student’s background and goals. I strive to build trust and confidence while helping students deepen both their content knowledge and their approach to learning. I'm excited to support others in mastering the MCAT and achieving their goals.
