Hi, I'm Jay! I have always enjoyed the challenge of standardized tests and STEM problem solving. I hold a degree in Physics from Rice University. Prior to Rice, I was a National Merit Semifinalist and scored a 780 on SAT Math, 35 on ACT and 5/5 on multiple AP tests including: Calculus BC, Physics C, Macro Econ, Micro Econ, Government, English Lang, English Lit, and Latin. Unfortunately, standardized tests often create pressure and stress for most high schoolers. I want to help reduce that stress by helping you become more comfortable and familiar with the types of problems on these tests in order to build confidence. There is a misconception that some folks are just good at standardized tests and others are not good test takers. I have enough experience to know that anyone can improve through practice and preparation.
In addition to SAT, PSAT and ACT, I also tutor on math and physics.
