Hello, I'm Kali. I am a Highly Qualified tutor with both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Biology. I have taught for several years at both the high school and college levels. Over my five years as a Certified High School teacher, I taught Pre-Advanced Placement Biology (preparing students to take AP Biology), Level Biology, Microbiology, and Integrated Physics & Chemistry. I teach Biology for Science Majors and Non-Majors, but my specialty is Anatomy & Physiology. I prepare students to enter Nursing and Radiology programs. I can assist with content comprehension, test preparation, and developing effective study habits.
I love teaching Biology and discussing all things related to Science. I get excited when my students have an 'a-ha' moment, or discover something they didn't know before. In addition to teaching, I am always available to tutor my students one on one. I want my students to succeed and don't mind trying new approaches until the student understands a concept. I adjust my teaching style and methods to best benefit each student's individual learning style. Whenever possible, I try to relate the subject material to the student's interest or real-world applications in order to make the lesson more interesting. I have taught in person and online, and am comfortable using technology to supplement learning materials.
