I’m Tobi! I am currently a senior in High school and will be graduating in May. My whole life I’ve been surrounded by ambitious individuals across a variety of fields from my parents parents who work in healthcare, to relatives who work in Law, to even neighbors that are entrepreneurs. Because of this I’ve been exposed to a wide array of different subjects and it has done wonders to further not only my knowledge, but also my curiosity.
I took 9 AP courses throughout high school while also achieving a GPA of 99.04/100 and an SAT score of 1490. Extracurricularly, I am a self taught artist of 3 years, pianist of 11 years, guitarist of 2 months, and a wrestler. I enjoy having a plethora of avenues to express myself but tend to lean towards more free and artistic pastimes. After High school I will be attending the University of Chicago as an undecided major, although I have grown an interest in both healthcare and Computer a science as of late.

I enjoy tutoring for a variety of reasons. My first time being in a position of leadership when when I joined my high school wrestling team and was entrusted with the task of shaping the next generation of wrestlers. Working with them and watching them grow and progress really instilled in me a love for using my skill set to help others. I can’t help but look back on all the positive role models I had when I was younger who shared their knowledge with me and shaped me into the person I am today and I feel obligated to do what I can to be this role model for someone else, albeit from a more academic standpoint. I believe the single greatest gift you can have is a love for learning and an inquisitive mind and if I can help just one student develop stronger academic habits, then I believe I have done my part as a tutor.
