I studied Philosophy and Psychology as an Undergraduate and became obsessed with the learning process itself. This has lead me to have a passion for teaching and sharing positive habits, attitudes, and motivational tools for learning at an accelerated rate. An undergrad in Philosophy exposed me to A LOT of reading and writing, which left met with a lot of experience and confidence in the process of digesting and communicating ideas through reading, speaking, and writing. Studying psychology exposed me to the habits needed to utilize the power of our minds. My undergrad was filled with self experimentation with the different methods of how to learn most efficiently. In addition to this, I have worked as a tutor for students in writing as well as test study skills.
I have trained and been certified to teach yoga and have maintained a self consistent practice for years now. I find this area helps with all other fields of study as well as it boosts the power of the mind tremendously. The combination of yoga, philosophy, and psychology creates a unique approach to the practice of learning new information and creatively working with it so as to demonstrate understanding and produce with it. Learning can be a wonderfully magical process if approached with a certain attitude. As a tutor, I aim not only to help students grasp the material to be learned, but also come to an appreciation of what it means to learn and why we do it in the first place.
