Bio

My name is Lena K. and I am a 2023 graduate of the University of Notre Dame. I majored in Biological Sciences, with a minor in Data Science, and am currently a medical student in San Antonio. I have taken various Honors and AP courses throughout high school, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics C, BC Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Algebra 2/Trigonometry, and Geometry. My name is Lena K. and I am a 2023 graduate of the University of Notre Dame. I majored in Biological Sciences, with a minor in Data Science, and am currently a medical student in San Antonio. I have taken various Honors and AP courses throughout high school, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics C, BC Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Algebra 2/Trigonometry, and Geometry. In my college career, I have taken various science courses, including Genetics, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, General Chemistry, Physiology, Parasitology, Neurobiology, Ecology, and Physics.

I have previous tutoring experience at the middle school, high school, and college level, and enjoy watching students gain an understanding of the concepts and topics in STEM that fascinate me. I want students to be able to learn and understand the fundamental principles behind the subject matter to allow them to tackle future academic challenges on their own.

Throughout my academic career, I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge, resources, and study techniques that I would be more than happy to share to help other students realize their potential and maybe even consider the possibility of a career in STEM.

I recently graduated from the University of Notre Dame, where I majored in Biological Sciences. I took a 4 credit hour Genetics course with Dr. David Hyde, which met three times a week for 1 h 40 min. This is considered to be one of the most challenging Biology courses at Notre Dame, and I received an A in the course as well as an A in the 2 credit hour research lab. Additionally, I received a 520 (97th percentile) on my MCAT, which I was able to achieve with my strong genetics foundation.

Lena helped my daughter with some prealgebra concepts, and she wants to follow up with more sessions! This is a big win since my daughter was quite resistant to getting help, even when she needs it.
