As a retired professional educator/administrator for 37 years, love learning, and I still believe that my calling is in education. My educational journey has given me the opportunity to serve as a teacher in music education, special education, and general education in California, Texas, and Abroad. Having worked in Judson Independent School District for 25 years, I had the opportunity to serve in a variety of leadership positions across Judson district. I received recognition as a Distinguished Educator, NAACP Teacher of the Year, Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, and the President’s Volunteer Service Award, retiring in June of 2014.
As a former educator and administrator, I have years of experience working with a diverse group of students. Currently, I am tutoring elementary and secondary students in the surrounding area. Not only am I a qualified to meet your tutoring needs, I hold teacher/administrator certifications in the state of Texas with Texas Education Agency. I am eager to work with you because I know that with my help, you will recognize that you have the potential to be the best that you can be. I am a national trainer for differentiated instruction, and I specialize in teaching to the specific needs of the student. Everyone learns differently, but everyone can learn in their own way and at their own pace. I am a writer, and I love writing; I especially enjoy teaching writing as a process to students at any level.
