As an educator, I realize that we all learn in different ways and I'm committed to doing whatever it takes to find what works for my students. I believe in keeping up-to-date on the most current teaching methods and research and implementing what I learn in my lessons/classroom. You will not get the same-old-same-old with me - we will find what inspires and excites your learner!
I have a degree in a science field - anthropology. I have taken a variety of science courses during my years as a student, including biology, chemistry, geography, and physics.
I have a love and a passion for the written word. I have studied English literature extensively and have taken a wide variety of writing courses, both of which I excelled at. I currently teach 5th grade writing professionally, and love the challenge of turning somewhat apathetic students into skilled, interested writers.
