Hi, I'm Jae. If you're staring down a business, statistics, or Excel course that feels more like a foreign language than an actual class, I understand, and I can help you get unstuck. I work with students who need business concepts, spreadsheets, or data and stats to actually make sense, not just get through one assignment.

My background is built for exactly this kind of tutoring. I'm currently an MBA candidate, I hold a Master's in Data Analytics and a Bachelor's in Management Information Systems, and I'm a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Alongside my degrees, I've spent 8+ years working as a business analyst and project manager across retail, technology, and operations, using the same Excel, statistics, and business concepts I tutor, in real jobs, for real decisions, not just in a classroom. I also run my own business and career consulting practice, so I'm used to explaining complicated ideas to people who need a clear, usable answer, not more jargon.

My approach is simple. We don't move on until a concept actually clicks, not just until you can repeat it back to me. Whether it's untangling a statistics problem, learning to actually use Excel instead of fighting it, or making sense of a business course that feels overwhelming, I break things down step by step and connect them to something you already understand, and I explain things the way I wish someone had explained them to me the first time.

Sessions with me are focused and practical. You bring the assignment, the exam, or the concept you're stuck on, and we work through it together until it makes sense, not just for that one problem, but for the next one too. If you're ready to stop feeling behind and start feeling confident in your coursework, I'd love to work with you, send me a message and let's talk about what you need.

Approved Subjects

Business

Business

I bring 8+ years of experience in business analysis, operational process improvement, and cross functional project delivery, along with an MBA in progress, a Master's in Data Analytics, and a Bachelor's in Management Information Systems. I also run my own business and technology consulting practice, so I understand business concepts from both the classroom side and the day to day reality of actually running one. My background covers financial tools like QuickBooks, stakeholder and vendor management, requirements and process work, and translating data into decisions leadership can act on. I teach business concepts the way I use them, tied to a real decision or outcome, not abstract theory.
Career Development

Career Development

I'm the founder of a career strategy consulting business, and I've spent 8+ years navigating my own career across business analysis, technical program management, and analytics roles in retail, legal technology, government, and higher education. I know what actually gets a resume, LinkedIn profile, or application noticed because I do this work professionally, not just as an occasional favor for friends. I help clients identify their real strengths, build evidence backed positioning, and put together a job search strategy instead of applying at random. My approach is direct and practical, built to move someone from stuck to actively getting interviews.
Data Analysis

Data Analysis

I hold a Master's in Data Analytics and work with real business data regularly, cleaning it, analyzing it, and turning it into something leadership can actually act on. My approach covers the full path from raw data to insight, framing the right question, choosing the right method, and explaining what the result actually means in plain language. I've done this professionally in retail analytics and business operations, not just in coursework, so I bring real examples, not just theory. I focus on building your ability to think through a data problem on your own, not just get through one assignment.
Information Technology

Information Technology

My Bachelor's is in Management Information Systems, which sits right at the intersection of business and technology, and I've spent 8+ years translating between the two in real jobs. I can help with foundational IT concepts, systems thinking, databases, networks, and how technology decisions actually affect a business, explained without unnecessary jargon. I've worked hands on with business systems, vendor evaluation, and technology planning, so I bring practical context, not just definitions. I teach IT concepts the way I actually use them, connected to a real business problem they solve. I run an IT Concierge Business for Seniors.
Interview Prep

Interview Prep

Through my own career strategy consulting business, I coach clients on interview preparation, from building concise, structured answers to behavioral questions to practicing delivery until it sounds natural instead of memorized. I've personally interviewed across business analysis, project management, and analytics roles for 8+ years, so I know what interviewers are actually listening for and where candidates typically lose the room. I help you build a tight "tell me about yourself" answer, prepare specific stories for common behavioral prompts, and handle salary and negotiation questions with confidence. Sessions are practical and hands on, we practice out loud, not just talk theory.
Project Management

Project Management

I've spent over eight years as a technical project manager and business analyst, running software implementations, process improvement initiatives, and cross functional delivery from requirements through go live. My background includes formal implementation planning, UAT, training rollout, governance, and risk management, backed by a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, SAFe and ITIL training, and a PMP certification currently in progress. I've managed both the people side of a project, keeping stakeholders aligned and unblocked, and the process side, building the plans, tracking risk, and making sure deliverables actually land on time. I teach project management as something practical you can apply immediately, not just terminology for an exam.
QuickBooks

QuickBooks

I've used QuickBooks hands on across multiple business and financial operations roles, from day to day bookkeeping to evaluating and rolling out QuickBooks Online Plus for a client's accounting and project profitability tracking. My background includes an MBA in progress, a Master's in Data Analytics, and a Bachelor's in Management Information Systems, so I explain what the numbers actually mean for the business, not just which buttons to click. I'm comfortable with the full range, from basic transaction entry and bank reconciliation to reporting, chart of accounts setup, and using QuickBooks data to support real business decisions. I teach it the way I use it, practically, with the goal of getting you independent and confident running your own books.
Volleyball

Volleyball

I played competitive volleyball in both high school and college, primarily as a right side hitter and back row player. I have strong experience with serving, passing, positioning, court awareness, and offensive and defensive fundamentals. Serving was one of my strongest skills, and I can help players improve power, consistency, placement, and confidence from the service line. I enjoy helping developing players strengthen technique while also learning how to read the court and become more well rounded athletes.
