With a Master’s in Education, a Master’s in Physics, and a PhD in History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Notre Dame, I bring both deep technical expertise and a dedicated commitment to how students actually learn. I currently serve as a high school science teacher in San Antonio. Over the past decade, my teaching and tutoring experience has spanned traditional high school classrooms, university undergraduate instruction, and one-on-one sessions across high school physics, university-level physics, higher mathematics, and formal logic.
My teaching philosophy is centered on systematic modeling and structured tools for problem-solving. Rather than encouraging students to memorize isolated formulas or plug values into equations blindly, I teach them how to construct mental and mathematical models of physical and conceptual systems. In high school courses like AP Physics C and foundational university physics, we focus on breaking complex multi-step problems into clear, manageable visual and quantitative frameworks. For advanced students tackling topics like Quantum Mechanics or symbolic and formal logic, I emphasize rigorous step-by-step proof techniques and conceptual clarity so they can confidently navigate abstract frameworks on their own.
Whether guiding a high school student through their first calculus-based physics course or helping an undergraduate master complex mathematical formalisms in logic or quantum physics, I adapt my pacing to meet each student's specific goals. I pride myself on giving students a repeatable toolkit for thinking through difficult problems, transforming subjects that often feel overwhelming into intuitive, approachable, and deeply rewarding skills.
