I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science at The University of Texas at San Antonio, where I maintain a 3.93 GPA and am part of the Honors and Business Honors College. My academic background is strongly rooted in mathematics, statistics, economics, and accounting, with coursework including Calculus III, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, and Accounting. This rigorous quantitative training allows me to tutor subjects such as math, statistics, and introductory finance with both depth and clarity. As a student who excels in these areas, I understand not only how to solve problems, but how to explain the reasoning behind them in a way that makes sense to learners at different levels.

My teaching experience comes from both formal and informal mentoring roles. In my professional experience, I have trained and coached interns one-on-one and in small groups, helping them grasp complex concepts, improve performance, and gain confidence in their abilities. I regularly adapt my approach based on how each individual learns, whether that means walking through problems step by step, using real-world examples, or reinforcing foundational concepts before moving forward. I have also worked closely with peers in academic settings, assisting classmates with coursework in math and finance-related subjects, which has strengthened my ability to communicate clearly and patiently.

When tutoring, I focus on working primarily with middle school, high school, and early college students in one-on-one settings, where personalized attention makes the biggest impact. My goal is not just to help students complete assignments, but to help them build confidence, strong problem-solving skills, and long-term understanding. As a bilingual tutor in English and Spanish, I am able to support a wider range of students and families. Parents and students can expect a supportive, structured, and encouraging learning environment where progress is measurable and understanding comes first.

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I have a strong foundation in Algebra I, supported by consistent academic excellence and advanced coursework in mathematics. I earned top grades in Algebra and all subsequent math courses, including Calculus and Multivariable Calculus, demonstrating mastery of algebraic concepts such as linear equations, systems of equations, inequalities, functions, and polynomials. My advanced math background allows me to clearly explain foundational algebra concepts, identify common student misconceptions, and help students build confidence and problem-solving skills in Algebra I.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I am well qualified to tutor Algebra II, with a strong quantitative foundation and extensive experience in advanced mathematics. As an Actuarial Science student, I have mastered the algebraic concepts that Algebra II builds upon, including functions, polynomials, exponential and logarithmic relationships, systems of equations, and quadratic modeling. My academic background through calculus and multivariable calculus allows me to explain Algebra II concepts clearly, anticipate common student difficulties, and emphasize structured problem-solving. I focus on building strong fundamentals, improving accuracy, and helping students develop confidence and consistency in Algebra II.
Calculus

Calculus

I have a strong academic foundation in calculus, demonstrated by earning scores of 5 on both AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC, as well as earning A grades in all collegiate mathematics coursework, including Multivariable Calculus. As an Actuarial Science undergraduate, I have developed a deep conceptual understanding of limits, derivatives, integrals, series, and multivariable techniques, allowing me to approach calculus both rigorously and intuitively. While I am still an undergraduate student, my consistent academic performance reflects mastery of the subject and the ability to clearly explain complex concepts. I specialize in helping students build strong fundamentals, improve problem-solving skills, and gain confidence in calculus at the high school and early college level.
Clarinet

Clarinet

I am an experienced and highly dedicated clarinetist with a strong performance background, including earning 2nd Chair in the TMEA All-State Wind Ensemble and qualifying for Area and District multiple times. I served as 1st Chair at my school, demonstrating consistent technical proficiency, musical leadership, and strong preparation habits. My instruction focuses on tone development, technique, musicality, and audition preparation, tailored to each student’s level and goals. I am deeply passionate about clarinet and committed to helping students build confidence, discipline, and a genuine love for music.
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

With a strong quantitative background as an Actuarial Science student, I bring clarity, structure, and patience to elementary math instruction. My advanced training in mathematics allows me to clearly explain foundational topics such as time conversion, arithmetic, and problem-solving in ways that are simple and age-appropriate. I have experience mentoring and teaching others, and I focus on building confidence through step-by-step guidance and positive reinforcement. My goal is to help elementary students develop strong math fundamentals while creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
Financial Accounting

Financial Accounting

I have a strong quantitative background in financial accounting, supported by my Actuarial Science studies and consistent A-level performance in accounting coursework. I am passionate in helping students understand financial statements, journal entries, accruals, and the logic behind accounting rules rather than memorization. My approach emphasizes step-by-step problem solving and numerical intuition, allowing students to see how accounting concepts connect to real financial decision-making. I work effectively with high school and early college students seeking to build confidence and accuracy in financial accounting.
Geometry

Geometry

I am highly qualified to tutor Geometry, with a strong mathematical foundation and experience in advanced coursework beyond the subject. As an Actuarial Science student, I have completed rigorous mathematics through calculus and multivariable calculus, giving me a deep understanding of geometric reasoning, algebraic connections, and problem-solving strategies. I emphasize clear visual explanations, logical proofs, and step-by-step solutions to help students grasp concepts such as congruence, similarity, transformations, and coordinate geometry. My approach focuses on building strong fundamentals, improving accuracy, and preparing students for quizzes, exams, and higher-level math courses.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I am highly qualified to tutor Precalculus, with a strong quantitative background and extensive experience in advanced mathematics. I earned scores of 5 on both AP Calculus AB and BC and have completed college-level coursework through Multivariable Calculus, giving me a deep understanding of the foundational concepts that Precalculus builds upon, including functions, trigonometry, and analytic reasoning. My academic training allows me to clearly explain complex ideas, anticipate common student misunderstandings, and help students connect concepts to problem-solving strategies. I focus on building strong foundations, improving test performance, and developing the confidence and structure students need to succeed in higher-level math.
Spanish

Spanish

I am a fluent, life-long Spanish speaker with a strong academic and practical foundation in the language. I earned a score of 5 on the AP Spanish 4 exam, demonstrating advanced proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. In addition to formal coursework, I have immersive language experience through travel to Honduras, where I regularly communicated in Spanish in real-world, everyday settings. This combination of fluency, academic achievement, and cultural immersion allows me to teach Spanish with accuracy, confidence, and practical relevance for learners of all levels.
