Teaching & Tutoring Experience
I am a college philosophy instructor with over a decade of teaching experience across higher education, K–12, and community settings. I currently teach Intro to Philosophy, Ethics, and World Religions at Palo Alto College in San Antonio, Texas, where I’ve guided hundreds of students through complex ideas in clear, accessible ways. My teaching includes online, hybrid, and in-person courses, as well as one-on-one tutoring focused on writing, critical thinking, and applied ethics.
My approach blends Socratic dialogue, practical examples, and reflective discussion, helping students connect philosophy to everyday life and personal meaning. Whether working with college students, adult learners, or younger students, I emphasize clarity, curiosity, and relevance.
Educational Background
I hold a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from the University of the Incarnate Word, where my research examined leadership, culture, and entrepreneurship among Mariachi educators in San Antonio. I also hold a Master’s degree in Applied Philosophy and ethics and undergraduate studies in both music and philosophy, grounding my teaching in both intellectual and creative disciplines.
